DVB-H Trials Planned for Australia

At an ABE/Free TV Engineering Conference this month in Sydney, plans were announced for trials of the DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting – Handheld) transmission standard. Subject to Australian Broadcasting Authority approval, the trials will commence in December. They will be conducted by Broadcast Australia subsidiary The Bridge Networks and partners under a scientific transmission licence.
