11 Million Thai Households to receive DVB-T2 by June

Qatar Goes DVB-T2

State media broadcaster Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) will upgrade its broadcast network for the 2022 Soccer World Cup. Mongolia Migrates to DVB-T2

Mongolia Digital Broadcasting (MNBC) has just launched Mongolia's first-ever DVB-T2 service using Thomson equipment and MPEG-4 compression. Launched in 2007, MNBC was Mongolia's first digital terrestrial TV network operator and is currently the market-leading terrestrial channel. By migrating to DVB-T2/MPEG-4, MNBC will now be able to broadcast up to 120 digital TV channels over five UHF transponders to maintain its number one position in the market and compete effectively with Mongolia's national satellite operator. Argentina Operator to Migrate to DVB-T2

Buenos Aires based pay-TV operator Argentine Antina will migrate to DVB-T2 early 2014. This change will allow the service to improve its quality and expand its range of services, while lowering its spectrum requirements. Antina has already started to add new HD services and set-top boxes. Antina is a pay DTT operator that covers the Greater Buenos Aires. It has two service models, one prepaid and another based on a monthly subscription. The basic plan offers between 55 to 61 channels. Read More
