On June 22nd to 24th Media Broadcast and the DVB Project held a DVB-T2 Plugfest in Berlin to test the M-PLP (Multiple Physical Layer Pipes) technology that is a relevant part of the DVB-T2 standard. This test successfully demonstrated how the PLP technology allows the combining of services with different transmission requirements. More good news for DVB-T2! BBC R&D and the DVB Project have been shortlisted for the IBC 2010 Innovation Award in the Content Delivery category. The IBC Innovation Awards are unique in celebrating not just the technology but the collaboration between suppliers and end user to create commercially successful and creatively empowering solutions.
