Zeonbud to use DVB-T2

The Ukraine DTT multiplex operator Zeonbud has chosen the DVB-T2 digital broadcasting standard for its 4 multiplexes according to Mediasat.
The report says that the company took the decision last week following an amendment to its licence conditions, earlier this month, which now allow it to choose the broadcasting format.
Zeonbud was awarded licences to operate four multiplexes (MX-1, MX-2, MX-3 an MX-5) in late 2011 and expects them to be operational by the end of the year, with ASO being possible in 2013.
While Zeonbud will use DVB-T2 on its four multiplexes two of the countries six multiplexes are still allocated for DVB-T and DVB-H services.
