UKE issues implementation plans

In a decree issued on the 30th October 2009, the President of UKE granted a general exclusive frequency license for the terrestrial broadcasting of digital TV programme services in first DVB-T multiplex (MUX1). The decree concerned the modification to existing analogue licences and announced that the analogue switch over will be completed by the 31 June 2013. Broadcasters in Multiplex 1 must also use MPEG-4, H.264 AV Coding. Multiplex 3 has been allocated to Polish Public TV (TVP).
Plans for the make up of the first and second multiplex remain unchanged from previous announcements.
