Two bids for DTT services


The communications regulator Anacom reports on its website that two bids were received for DTT licences before the deadline.
The first bidder was Portugal Telecom (PTC), which bid to operate the Free-To-Air DTT multiplex, as well as separate commercial DTT services on, multiplexes B-F.
The second proposal was from Swedish company AirPlus TV which also bid to operate the commercial services. For the AirPlus bid to be considered extra pledges have been requested by the 30th April.
AirPlus TV is a pay-DTT service provider. It launched Plus TV in Finland in March 2006 and owns Dahlia Television in Spain.
