TVE HD coverage at 84%

Radio Televisión Espanola RTVE, Spain’s national public broadcaster, has extended the coverage of its DTT HD transmissions to 84% of the population in 50 provinces. In total some 37.5 million people have access to DTT HD with suitable receivers.
By February 2011 RTVE expect the channel to reach 90% of the population increasing to 96% by May 2011 and 98% in 2015. According to the Association of the Information Technology and Communication Companies, there are already 4 million TV sets suitable for HD reception in Spain.
