Tender for DTT licences expected in February

Rapid TV News reports that Portugal is expected to reveal its DTT auction plans in February according to Mário Lino, minister of Public Works and Telecommunications.
It is expected that two types of licence will be offered, one for Free-to-air TV channels and the other for Pay TV channels.
Portugal’s public broadcaster RTP has already been given rights to launch a pair of thematic channels by 2011. Analogue switch off is set to be completed by 2012.
