Second DTT multiplex launched


Slovenia’s second DTT multiplex was launched on the 1st September three months ahead of the country’s Analogue Switch Off (ASO) date.
The new MUX-B has 18 transmitting sites and has been built in just four months, with the majority of the sites in test operation as early as July. At launch, MUX B covers around 85% of the population which will increase to 87-88% by the end of September following the addition of eight more sites.
MUX-B will carry seven national and three regional channels.
Slovenia’s first multiplex is operated by the national public broadcaster RTV SLO.
