RTL to join DTT platform

RTL Germany’s channels will most likely be the first private broadcasters to join the digital terrestrial multiplex in the region of Stuttgart, according to the German news site Digital Fernsehen, reports Broadband TV News.
The two main commercial broadcasters in the country, RTL and ProSiebenSat.1, have been cautious about joining the digital terrestrial service in large parts of the country, but RTL had a change of mind when it announced late last year that it was reconsidering DTT.
