Results since the DTT launch in October 2006


It is estimated that 100,000 DVB-T receivers have been sold since the launch of DTT services, last October. Around 35,000 of these were MHP-enabled receivers purchased using a subsidy offered by the government. DTT services are now available to 70% of the population and coverage will be extended to 90% by the end of 2008 and 95% by 2010.
Analogue switch-off will take place in regional capitals from March-June 2007 according to the following timetable:
5 March: Bregenz Pfänder and Innsbruck
19 March: Kärnten and Salzburg
23 April: Graz
7 May: Linz
11 June: Vienna and Pölten
