Ready for a DTT launch

DigiTAG report that Algeria is ready for a DTT launch, following discussions at a recent seminar in the country. The seminar, also attended by the EBU, was to provide information to attendees on DTT technologies and business models.
For Algeria the next step is that, the National Committee for Digital Strategy will put in place the digital switchover strategy including the roll-out plan for the first DTT multiplex. The DVB-T standard will be used probably with MPEG-2 compression technology.
