RAI to test IPTV/DTT hybrid STB’s

RAI Nuovi Media and RaiNet have launched an IPTV/DTT trial using a hybrid Set Top Box (STB).
Viewers participating in the trial will be able to access content from both the DTT and IPTV platforms allowing them to use video on demand services as well as view new forms of advertising. The viewers will also be able to use time shifting when viewing content.
Interoperability and the use of services regardless of the users broadband connectivity are key-features of the trial service.
