RAI to make World Cup available on DTT HD

Public service broadcaster RAI is planning to make its coverage of the FIFA 2010 World Cup available in HD on the DTT platform.
The HD transmissions will be available on Multiplex 4.
Mediaset has also released news of the intended launch a new HD/DTT receiver for its On Demand service. The receiver will allow Mediaset to distribute HD content directly to the receivers at night for local storage.
