Pay-DTT subscribers reach 5%

The subscriber base of the Spanish pay-DTT sector has reached 5% after one year of operation.
So far two pay-DTT channels have been launched. These are Mediapro’s Gol TV and Sony Entertainment Television’s AXN.
A third pay-DTT channel, Sogecable’s Canal Plus2 is also likely to be offered later in the year.
Other Free to view channels are set to launch on the DTT platform. These are Antena 3’s channel Nitro and Mediaset’s Telecinco channel Boing. La Sexta says that it will also be launching a new channel in October called Q Digital.
