Pay DTT receiver spec. (Ver 1) published

The first version of the technical specification for DTT Pay-TV receiver boxes has been published. The process was led by Abertis who co-ordinated discussions between manufacturers and broadcasters with the blessing of the government.
The specification for STB’s will allow viewers access to services from all Pay TV providers and as a consequence will need to incorporate three types of CA systems. The STB’s are expected to be made available as early as August when Pay TV services are launched.
