Ocko seeks digital licence


The Czech music channel Ocko plans to apply for a ‘compensatory’ digital TV licence at the beginning of 2009.
Jiri Balvin the head of Ocko is reported as saying that by law the channel is entitled to such a licence and that he now wants to ‘send a signal to the Czech media’ that Ocko is ‘ready technically and financially to meet the requirements’
Ocko is watched in the Czech Republic by 1.5 million viewers accessing the service via cable, DTH and IPTV.
