Norkring gets DTT licence

Norkring, has been issued a licence to broadcast DTT services by the Flemish broadcast regulator, Vlaamse Regulator voor de Media. Norkring were the only applicant.
The licence conditions require that Norkring will launch digital radio and TV services capable of being received on fixed and mobile receivers.
DTT coverage is expected to reach the whole of the population by the end of 2010.
At present viewers can watch VRT services on a single multiplex, following the switch off of Flemish analogue services in November 2008.
