New association formed to promote DTT

Six new digital TV stations, which gained broadcasting licences from the Council for Radio and TV Broadcasting in early April have formed a new association. The association called ADT aim’s to support the launch of digital broadcasting and to protect the rights and interests of its members. The association would also like to accelerate the switch from analogue to digital TV broadcasting.
As a condition of the licence the six new stations have 360 days to start activities. The Czech Republic will stop analogue broadcasting in 2012 in line with other EU countries.
