Minister confirms 2010 switchover

The new Minister of Industry, Miguel Sebastian, has confirmed Spain’s present digital switchover plans and that the analogue switch off date is still the 3rd April 2010.
As previously planned the first analogue switch-off pilot will take place in the province of Soria on the 23rd July. The trial will involve 18,000 households and subsidies will be available towards the purchase of antennas and MHP-enabled Set Top Boxes.
