Local DTT programming considered


AKTR and ATV report that the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting has held a meeting in the city of Odessa to discuss the issue of a reduction in regional programming if space is to be made for local DTT broadcasting..
According to the report from Broadband TV News the regulator is proposing that all regions should be served by four local TV stations and will invite applications for licences from the 20th May.
One proposal that may be considered is that cities like Odessa would be served by its own local DTT multiplex.
In Odessa there are currently 11 Free to Air (FTA) and 17 cable channels available.
