Latest DTT receivers reach 100,000

Since the launch of DTT services in March, 100,000 receivers have been sold and coverage is now available to 77% of the population.
Set top boxes sell for €35-€50 which is considered to be expensive and thought to be limiting the take up of DTT in Morocco. Satellite TV is also very popular and the services available on the DTT platform are considered to be of a more limited appeal according to an article in L’Economiste
Analogue switch off is planned to take places by 2015.
