La Sexta to launch Pay-TV platform

TV channel La Sexta has announced that it will launch Pay-TV with Sports TV channel Gol TV, owned by Mediapro, the main shareholder in La Sexta.
The Pay-TV platform will be open to other operators and capable of delivering 12 Pay-DTT channels with nationwide coverage, once ASO has taken place on or before April 2010. The government recently announced that it was thinking of bringing ASO forward two months.
