La Sexta tests second HD channel

Mediapro’s laSexta has started test transmission of a second HD channel throughout Spain reports Rapid TV News.
This second channel is currently called la Sexta 2 and there is also another test channel called la Sexta 3. Both will be broadcast through the MPE1 network. The other national broadcaster testing HDTV images on DTT is public broadcaster RTVE.
Additionally, laSexta is to broadcast in HD the next worldwide basket championship at the end of this month. This championship will be offered in 16:9 for the first time in sports history and it will also be the first sports championship in being offered in HDTV.
