Italian DTT tender gets 25 bids


A total of 25 bids, by 17 companies, have been made for the 12 channels offered by the Italian telecommunications regulator (AgCom), following the release of 40% of  DTT capacity on the country’s 5 multiplexes, to external tender.
The new channels will operate on one multiplex belonging to state broadcaster RAI and on two others operated by commercial broadcasters Mediaset and Telecom Italia Broadcasting. The bids are now being evaluated and the winners will be announced on the 23rd August.
