Indonesia Considering DVB-T2
Following a public consultation in December 2011, the Indonesian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is expected to publish a request for tender for new digital television broadcasting equipment in the first quarter of 2012. Indonesia originally decided to roll out a DVB-T network, but is now expected to select the second generation standard, DVB-T2. More information can be found on the Ministry’s website (select English on the top right and then search for press release number 88).
