Government confirms ASO date

According to a recent Cabinet resolution, Analogue Switch Off in Portugal will be completed by the 26th April 2012.
There will also be a 1-year simulcast period but it was unclear if this would be before or after the announced ASO date.
The DTT operator Portugal Telecom has already announced that it will start to offer services by the end of April this year. Initially transmissions will be for test purposes only but coverage will gradually be increased and will reach 80% of the population by the end of the year.
