Full DTTV coverage in 3 years

The digital terrestrial television (DTTV) network will cover all of China in three years according to Jiang Wenbo, president of the Academy of Broadcasting Planning under the State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT), speaking at a recent broadcast forum.
DTTV deployment will be in two phases. The first phase will see HDTV and SDTV programmes being delivered to 37 major cities across China and the second phase will extend SDTV programme availability to China’s 333 cities and 2,861 counties.
China uses its own unique DTT standard called DTMB.
