Firm DTT action called for !

The Communication Minister, Paulo Gentiloni, has called for government action on DTT policy in the next few weeks. He went on to say “Italy needs to adopt a serious switchover strategy with regard to digital terrestrial, which means more than a never-ending series of deadlines which are continually put off ”
Following the formal review of the results from the pilots in Sardinia and Val D’Aosta, the government may issue a ministerial decree on analogue switch-off. Both pilots are expected to be completed by 31st July 2006.
