Is the set top box about to disappear from the living room? 

The capabilities of the Connected TV have dramatically increased in the last few years, providing IPTV operators with the promise of connecting the TV set directly to their IPTV platform. This saves significant cost for operators and it greatly improves the user experience. But moving from a custom set-top box to an off-the-shelf TV set presents a fresh set of challenges.

This seminar will look at all options and challenges of delivering IPTV directly to a TV set, and examine the maturity of a standards-based solution.

DVB’s Executive Director Peter Siebert will chair the second day of the seminar, which will cover many DVB and standards related topics.
