ABU Technical Committee
The Technical Committee meetings of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union will take place as part of the 54th ABU General Assembly. This year’s meetings will focus on the strategies to ensure the leading role of the broadcast media in future services for information, education and entertainment of nations around the globe. It will tackle crucial issues of successful re-positioning of broadcasting houses in political, social and industry environment of overwhelming uncertainty.
DVB Executive Director Peter Siebert deliver two presentations during the Technical Committee meeting. During a session on Technological Inspiration he will give a talk titled “Reports of the Death of Broadcast TV Are Greatly Exaggerated”. He will also provide an update on DVB matters.
