5 March: DVB-S2/S2X: Advanced Features and Applications Workshop
DVB is hosting a half-day workshop on satellite network implementation, covering topics such as DVB-S2X transmission and reception, UHD over S2X, Test & Measurement and interactive services. The workshop will also provide hands-on demonstrations using industry standard equipment.
6 March: Technologies & Standards: What’s New? What’s Next? Session
DVB’s Executive Director Peter Siebert will give a presentation on the current work items in DVB and what to expect in the future. In the same session Jason Power (Dolby) will provide a look at Next Generation Audio, where Dolby’s A-C4 is specified in the DVB UHD TV toolbox in his presentation titled State of the art TV experiences.
6 March: Broadcasting Business needs to Evolve: How & Where? Session
Cheong Yew-jin (Rohde & Schwarz) will give the presentation Efficiency and Value Optimization in Distribution and Monitoring of Digital Content.
7 March: Challenges in Media Delivery Session
Markus Fritz (Eutelsat) is presenting Seamless and Efficient Pan-regional Multiformat and Multiscreen delivery and Colin Prior (ENENSYS Technologies) will give a presentation on Cost-effective Ad Insertion and Satellite Distribution for DTT Networks.
