DVB welcomes two new Members

DVB is pleased to welcome two new Members, Verance and YouView. As DVB Members they can now contribute to the development and promotion of open technical specifications for terrestrial, satellite, cable and IP delivery and associated services. The complete list of DVB Members is available here.

Verance

Verance develops and delivers innovations that enhance, protect and measure the delivery of media and entertainment. Since 1995, Verance’s Emmy-winning technology has been adopted in standards for television, film and music and deployed by over 100 entertainment and technology companies in hundreds of millions of consumer products worldwide. 

Verance is based in San Diego, USA.

YouView

YouView provides software for set-top boxes and connected TVs together with cloud services to provide a platform in the UK that combines live TV delivered by DTT and IPTV with on-demand content. It is currently used in over two and half million households.

YouView is a joint venture in the UK between BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, BT, TalkTalk and Arqiva.
