DVB-T2 an option for TV Nova

The leading Czech broadcaster TV Nova would be unlikely to charge viewers to receive an HD version of its flagship channel distributed by DVB-T2 according to comments from the company’s CEO Jan Andrusko, attributed to “Digizone” however they might charge to view other Nova HD channels he added.
The HD version is already available to cable and DTH viewers in the Czech Republic, although it currently only has a small market share.
The Czech Republic completed its transition to DTT broadcasting on the 11th November. Some simulcasting is still taking place from a few remaining analogue transmitters which will be switched off in mid-2012.
