DVB-T receivers increase by 33%


The number of DVB-T MPEG-4 receivers sold in the first quarter of 2010 increased by 33% over the previous quarter according to an Antenna Hungária press release. In addition 6% of households now access DTT services and in total 10% of households are estimated to have converted from analogue to digital TV.
In the first quarter of 2010, the average price of an MPEG-4 DVB-T set-top box dropped by 18%.
By the end of the year DTT coverage will increase from 88.5 to 95% of the country according to Zsolt Kozma, NHH’s director overseeing digital infrastructure, reports Broadband TV News.
