The past two weeks were quite busy for most of our DVB members and colleagues. Together with most broadcast and consumer electronics companies, DVB again had a presence at the IFA show in Berlin (3-8 September) and at IBC in Amsterdam (10-14 September).

IBC 2010 was a successful show for DVB with the complete 2nd Generation line-up of DVB-S2, DVB-T2 and DVB-C2 on the stand’s demo wall drawing in many visitors from across the world. These demos also allowed DVB to display its new redesigned sub-brand logos and by displaying 3D content, the demos underlined the strong role of DVB in the 3DTV standardization process. To complete the success of the show DVB and the BBC were awarded the IBC Innovation Award for its DVB-T2 technology.

At IFA DVB had a presence at the Deutsche TV Plattform booth to inform visitors about the 2nd generation broadcast standards (DVB-S2, DVB-T2 and DVB-C2).
