DVB hosts Patent Declaration meeting at IBC ’03

The DVB Project will present its current round of patent pooling at a meeting to be held in  Amsterdam , on Friday, 12 September, at 09:30 at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC):

During the meeting, Christopher Lipp, a lawyer at Sughrue Mion LLC, the DVB’s patent coordinator, will present the status of its examination of declarations of patents essential
to DVB specifications.  He will also discuss the methodology applied in its examination and the schedule for completion of the declaration review.  Carter Eltzroth, Legal Director DVB, will also be present.

The meeting is open to declarants and potential declarants, members of the licensee community and other interested parties.  In addition to his presentation, Mr Lipp will respond to questions. 

The meeting will last about 90 minutes. 

Participants can also ask to have separate meetings with Mr Lipp.
