DVB holds 11th annual General Assembly

Geneva, 30th October 2003 – DVB is to hold it’s 11th annual General Assembly. Formed of representatives of all the DVB members, the GA is ultimate decision-making body in DVB. This year’s GA will elect the 6th DVB Steering Board.

DVB’s Steering Board is responsibile for the day-to-day running of DVB and is formed of elected representatives of the 4 DVB constituencies. This ensures balanced decision-making in the Project. The Steering Board representation is broken down as follows:

Broadcasters Constituency  14 seats 
Manufactuers Constituency  10 seats 
Network Operators Constituency  9 seats
Regulatory Authorities Constituency  7 seats
Ex. Officio and Liaison Officers  6 seats

In addition to this important task, the GA will approve the budget for 2004, and is responsible for deciding what to do with organisations who have neglected to discharge their obligations as DVB members.
