DVB-H and DVB-T news from the Czech Republic


The recent T-Mobile DVB-H trial in Czech Republic produced similar results to trials in other European countries. News and music were the most popular content with CT4 and then Ocko the most watched. Viewers accessed services for an average of 20 minutes each day.
Two hundred and fifty users took part in the Prague trial between the 23rd October and the 5th December.
The Czech Broadcasting Council (RRTV) has also announced that Prima TV is to be allowed to undertake DTT transmissions in other parts of the country. Prima TV already distributes digitally on The Czech Digital Group (CDG) multiplex in Prague.
