DVB at ANGA 2012

At this year’s ANGA Cable Exhibition and Congress held in Cologne from 12 – 14 June DVB will be exhibiting with ANGA – the Association of German Cable Operators on booth 10.2 / B18. There will be a DVB-T2 demo showing the transmission of 4 HD channels totaling 40 Mbit/s received on a Vestel iDTV and Vestel set-top box. A DVB-C2 signal is distributed via the local cable network to more than 12 DVB-C2 related equipment demonstrations at different booths in the exhibition halls. At the DVB/ANGA booth the DVB-C2 transmission will be shown on a Sony DVB-C2 iDTV and via a Sagemcom DVB-C2 STB.

DVB will also present a Technology Panel titled ‘Hot Topics in DVB’ in the official conference program that will take place on Tuesday, 12 June from 15:00 – 16:15.

The session, which will be conducted in English will be hosted by DVB’s Executive Director, Peter Siebert and will feature presentations on DVB-C2 by Christoph Schaaf, VP New Technologies, Kabel Deutschland; CI Plus by Paul Szucs, Senior Manager, Technology Standards, Sony Europe; DVB-T2 by Henrik Rinnert, Senior Vice President, Head of Business Unit Television, MEDIA BROADCAST GmbH; and Easy Use of DVB with Logical Channel Numbering by Dr. Piero Kirchner, CTO, BLANKOM Antennentechnik GmbH.
