DTT tender stalled

Czech public broadcaster CT has withdrawn its open tender for the set up of an additional DTT multiplex. The new multiplex would have been the third of a planned four to become available in the country. Two are already in operation.
According to Broadband TV, local reports say that the decision was made by CT’s general director Jiri Janecek following the recommendations of a committee that evaluated bids from three parties – Bohemia Royal, Ceske Radiokomunikace (CRa) and Slovakia’s TRI R, recently renamed Towercom.
