DTT tender launched in Estonia


The Estonian Ministry of Culture has announced the release of a tender for a nationwide FTA DTT licence.
The tender requires that the successful applicant must have diverse programming, for at least 12 hours a day in the Estonian language. The programming must includes culture, entertainment, news, youth, children’s programming, features and documentary films.
Applicants must make their submission by the 14th March for a licence which will run for 8 years.
Currently, the DTT platform offers four free-to-air services which are ETV, ETV2, Kanal-2 (Schibsted) and TV3 (MTG/Viasat), as well as 24 pay-DTT services.
