DTT service gets closer

Towercom has fulfilled the first of a series of conditions to become the operator of Slovakia’s new DTT platform reports Broadband TV News.
According to the Slovak Telecom Office (TU SR), payments for reserving frequencies on Multiplex 1 and Multiplex 2 together with an additional payment required for Multiplex 1 have been received.
Towercom won a DTT tender in August and is set to launch a platform, initially covering 79.7% of the population, at the end of this year.
