DTT licences confirmed

TV Barrandov and EDB the operator of Regionálni Televizni Agentury (RTA) have had their DTT licences confirmed by the country’s Broadcasting council RRTV.
They both have 360 days to launch a new service but it is expected that TV Barrandov will be ready to go much sooner than that.
TV Barrandov and RTA are two of six companies awarded digital TV licences in April 2006 which were subsequently withdrawn following protests from TV Nova and others.
They are now entitled to compensatory licences, according to legislation that came into effect at the beginning of this year.
