DTT licence tender expected at the end of 2007


The Portuguese Government has postponed the tender to award terrestrial TV(DTT) channels until the end of the year.
According to the Minister for Public Works, Transportand Communications, Mário Lino, the tender was delayed due to Sonaecom’sunsuccessful IPO.
Media groups Impresa and Media Capital are reported to have had talks with theaim of reaching a common position on DTT but are awaiting the Governmentannouncement on the DTT model for Portugal before making their joint positionpublic.
