DTT introduction delayed

Montenegrin broadcaster Antena M reported on the 22nd December that the deadline to start installing DVB-T2 transmission equipment has been postponed until the 15th June 2012. The contract was awarded to Italian company Eurotel in May, but several of the participants in the tender appealed. Their complaints are still being processed with the result that in the best-case scenario, installation work could be completed by the end of August 2012. As the government has prescribed a half-year period of simulcasting analogue and digital TV signals, the complete switchover to DTT is unlikely before the spring of 2013.
