DTT frequency changes to release Digital Dividend

Some DTT frequencies in Spain are set to change before the 1st January 2010 to enable the release of the so called “Digital Dividend” for Broadband and Internet services.
During the change there will be a simulcast period so that viewers have time to retune their receivers/STB’s.
Spain and Portugal are also working on a frequency plan, before the change, so that they can avoid mutual interference in border areas.
