DSO moves to 2013

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has issued new Digital Migration Regulations which indicate that the Digital Switch Over (DSO) will not take place until 2013 at the earliest. Previously DSO was planned for completion by the 1st April 2012.
The latest plan includes a three year dual transmission period to allow the switch from analogue to digital services to take place. ICASA will give 60 days notice before the start of this three year period.
