Digital TV share reaches 55.6%


The digitally delivered share of the Dutch TV market has reached 55.6% according to figures attributed to Telecompaper. The article on the Broadband TV news website goes on to say that the total number of Dutch digital TV connections grew by 5.9%, or 245,800 net additions, in Q2 to 4,426 million.
Whilst the Netherlands is still dominated by Cable delivered services, KPN, who operate the Digitenne platform as well as some IPTV services, ended June with 886,000 TV customers, (a digital market share of 20%) the majority of which have previously been reported as receiving Pay-DTT services.
