Digital TV reviewed


The “Day of launching digital television in Argentina” took place in the hall of the Eva Péron Palace of the Post office in Buenos Aires on the afternoon of the 30th September 2005.
The meeting, organised by the Secretariat of Communication of the national government and the Association of Terradiodifusoras Argentina (IT TIES) took place to discuss the technical, legislative and economic advantages and disadvantages of digital television.

Concrete plans and dates were not discussed but the audience of government employees, industrialists and professionals in this area of communication, heard presentations from Mario Brown Guillermo, presenting a paper from the minister of Federal Planning, Julio De Vido; Osvaldo Nemirovsci, president of the Commission of Communication and Informatica of the House of Representatives; President of TIES Carlos Fontán Balestra: Head of the Cabinet, Alberto Fernandez completed the afternoon presentations.
